Membership of Comhaltas offers an immediate passport to a rich tradition of music, song and dance. It is an introduction to a world-wide community of lovers and practitioners of that musical tradition; a friendly community whose welcome and hospitality is legendary.

Membership of Comhaltas extends an invitation to learn how to play traditional music, to sing and dance in the tradition. It offers access to a living tradition made up of thousands of enthusiasts who meet together in numerous places across the planet to celebrate this cultural heritage and to promote its value, especially among young people.

Membership provides four issues per annum of 'Treoir', the glossy and very acceptable house-magazine of Comhaltas, with news, views, reviews, stories, snatches of tunes and songs and much more to inform and entertain the world-wide membership.

Membership offers very comfortable discount B&B accommodation at Cultúrlann na hÉireann, the headquarters of Comhaltas, in Monkstown, Co. Dublin. There is also discounted admission to Fleadhanna, wherever and whenever they are held under the auspices of Comhaltas.
